Sweden week 7 - Heading back south
We spent the last week of the trip relaxing and taking it slow. I chose safe places to spend the night, experienced some special places and, despite my desire for less adventure (after the last few weeks it was enough for now), had another little thrill with my car. I then slowly made my way back to my home town via Denmark. We are now resting there for a few days. Then, at the end of September, it's time for another adventure and back to Portugal.
And surprisingly, despite driving less, standing for longer, the same nature, I experienced more adventurous things than in Norway last year. Challenging things for me that brought me back to my helplessness. You might have read about it in the last weeks posts. But unlike usual, I made an effort not to drive away from it, but to bravely face the things that frightened me so much. I actually managed to do this and I notice a difference in myself from before the trip and now afterwards. The trip gave me a good framework with a beginning and an end. And now I'm trying to continue this. It is very liberating and I feel much lighter. I'm very excited to see what happens next!
Before I set off over seven weeks ago, I wondered what to expect. How different would Sweden be when I moved around it? I've been there many times before, but I've never been so mobile or traveled so widely. One thing I can definitely say now: the typical image of the endless forests of conifers and pines by a lake is still the all-encompassing image of Sweden, but I have seen many, many more facets during my trip. The vast and wild towards Norway and the lovely more towards Stockholm and south of it. Perhaps this was also recognizable in the photos of the last few weeks.
Thank you so much for your interest in my journey! It makes the whole thing to a shared journey and sincere connection and where I want to go. All my love and see you soon ♡
